Fortune 500 Apparel Brand

Industry Workshop

Oregon, USA

We began this collaboration with the understanding that the brand’s internal team was seeking in-depth Zero Waste Design training to support the learning and enrichment of their wider community.

Not only were we able to deliver on this vision, but the sessions also sparked genuine excitement and passion among participants, extending throughout the brand community as a whole.

Three pie charts showing survey results: the first chart shows 95% of participants were satisfied, labeled 'Average satisfaction rating of participants'; the second chart shows 70% felt confident, labeled 'The majority of participants felt confident to use the techniques learned on their own'; the third chart shows the most relevant workshop to their role, with categories labeled 'Extremely relevant', 'Very relevant', and 'Relevant'.

Over five days, we worked with 10 designers to change how they think about design. Through talks, demos, quick projects, and hands-on work, teams created zero-waste patterns and garment samples. We also came up with strategies for these ideas in real life scenarios.

“Zero waste is completely doable and within reach.”

“The apparel industries path to a more sustainable future with less of a detrimental impact environmentally, starts small. It starts with integration, and strives for progress not perfection. I believe I can use these practices daily.”

“In order for zero waste garments and production to work there has to be proper systems in place to facilitate it.”
